A strong swim off and gaining possession of the ball at the start of quarter one, along with some quick attacking play meant Grantham were able to get the first goal on the score board through the converted shot of Sam after only 24 seconds. However, a strong come back from Sheffield saw them sneak 4 goals into our goal but another converted shot by Sam with just 6 seconds to go saw us finish quarter one 4-2 down.

Quarter two saw another good start by Grantham with the first goal of the quarter being scored by Sam. Sheffield were again in the lead at the end of quarter two with a score of 7-3.

Another two early goals by Sam at the start of quarter three saw Grantham come back to within two goals. Score at the end of quarter three was 9-6.

Grantham's first goal of quarter four came through Seth but Sheffield managed to keep the lead 11-7. Coach Dave called a time out with 1 minute 32 seconds to go and the tactical talks saw another Grantham goal through the converted shot of our goal keeper Olly. Another time out call by coach Dave with 1 minute 5 seconds to go saw more tactical talks lead to another Grantham goal by Gabriel bringing the score to 11-9. An illegal two handed block by a Sheffield player at one second to go saw Grantham receive a penalty shot. Dave instructed goal keeper Olly to take the penalty which he successfully converted making the final score 12-10 to Sheffield.
